Madison, WI - Dane Arts, a primary arts funding arm for Dane County, Wisconsin, invites all artists and budding entrepreneurs alike to participate in the annual Business of Art Conference. This year’s theme is, “Artists at Work- minding your own business” celebrating all of the incredible artists who work so hard to make Dane County a thriving economic community. The conference is expanding due to popular demand and will take place on April 24-26, 2025.
“This conference highlights the immense value that artists bring to our community—not just through their creativity but also their contributions to our local economy and well-being,” said Dane County Executive Melissa Agard. “By equipping artists with tools to grow their businesses and nurture their talents, we’re fostering a more connected, and thriving Dane County for all.”

Volunteer Scholarships
A limited number of volunteer scholarships are available for Business of Art IV.
Volunteer duties at the conference will vary on our needs but we are asking for at least 5 hours of your time Thursday through Saturday which we will schedule with you in exchange for no-cost admittance to the conference.
You will also be required to attend an additional volunteer meeting and lunch, Wednesday, April 23rd at Arts & Lit Lab.
